2. Showcases
The MicroPowerEconomy is realized in the Senegalese village of Sine Moussa Abdou since April 2010 successfully. A second village power system will be commissioned in May 2011. Other villages are being prepared for electrification. Electrifying clusters of villages INENSUS is covering synergies and reduces implementation and maintenance costs to further increase profitability of the electrification approach.
Sine Moussa Abdou
- 900 inhabitants in 70 households, 5 kW wind turbine, 5 kW PV, 11 kVA genset, 1.5 km mini-grid
- Realized in cooperation with the GIZ as the public partner
Electrified in April 2010
- Activities of the rural citizens: Foundation of a village power committee, learning of how to use the tariff model, raising of micro loans, establishing of micro businesses like an electrical rice mill, an electrical peanut peeler, electrical sewing machine

Ndombil
- 1200 inhabitants in 90 households, 5 kW wind, 5 kW PV, 11 kVA genset, 2 km mini-grid
- Realized in cooperation with the GIZ as the public partner
